So, if you start with the number 2, and keep doubling your new number, you get to 2048 via the sequence: 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024, 2048!
You begin with a 4X4 grid, with two 'number 2' tiles on it. If you manipulate the grid so that these two 'number 2' tiles come into contact with each other, they then form one new 'number 4' tile. Each time you make a move, a new 2 or 4 tile is added to the grid. If you match two 'number 4' tiles, they create a 'number 8' tile, and so on.
For mobile and tablet users, simply swipe in the direction you want the tiles to move. If you want all tiles to slide to the right, simply swipe to the right.
